When it comes to health, the world often tells us that we need to try harder, eat cleaner, or buy the latest supplement. For many women, this cycle only leads to frustration, fear, and exhaustion. But what if healing was never meant to be about hustling for health in the first place?

Kari sat down with special guest Linden Mckay for an honest conversation about what it means to keep Jesus at the very center of our wellness journey. Linden’s testimony and practical wisdom remind us that while nutrition and protocols matter, they are not our ultimate source of healing—Jesus is.

Jesus permeates every part of wellness

Instead of asking, “Where does God fit into my health?” Linden reminds us to recognize that He already permeates every part of our lives. From choosing a supplement to calming fear, the Lord wants to guide us in every step of our health decisions.

Healing from fear and control

Linden’s story includes trauma, nervous system dysregulation, mold illness, and years of striving to find answers. She reached a breaking point when God asked her to lay it all down—supplements, research, and striving—for 30 days of walking closely with Him. Through prayer, forgiveness, and emotional healing, nearly half her symptoms resolved. The biggest shift wasn’t physical first, but spiritual.

Breaking free from toxic wellness culture

So much of today’s wellness advice is driven by fear—fear of toxins, fear of food, fear of symptoms. But as believers, we are called to live in peace, not fear. Linden shares how unfollowing fear-driven voices and grounding herself in Scripture helped her step out of panic and into freedom.

Rhythms that invite God into healing

Healing happens in quiet spaces. Linden talks about creating rhythms that leave room for God’s presence: unplugging from her phone in the mornings, keeping Sabbath, journaling through emotions, and practicing silence. These habits may feel simple, but they create the margin we need to hear His voice and receive His peace.

Why faith must be the foundation

At the end of the day, supplements and protocols are tools—but Jesus is the true healer. Linden’s story is a reminder that our bodies don’t need more fear, they need freedom. And freedom is only found in Christ.

If you’ve been caught in the cycle of fear-based wellness, maybe the next step isn’t another protocol. Maybe it’s giving yourself space to sit with the Lord, lay down the striving, and let Him lead.
